Dental Centre
The UNITE HERE Wellness and Dental Centre was established in 1988 to provide a full range of dental services to members of the UNITE HERE Health & Welfare Plan in the Greater Toronto Area.
The Dental Centre also provides Chiropody and Optometry services in addition to dental care.
There are no fees charged to the patients for plan benefits, including specialist referrals.
The emphasis is on patient satisfaction. All professional staff – dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants, chiropodists and optometrists are fully trained, qualified and licensed. Everyone is dedicated to providing excellent, necessary care in a pleasant, warm, health oriented environment.

ACCESSIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE PLAN
PROVIDING SERVICES TO PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES
UNITE HERE Wellness & Dental Centre is committed to excellence in serving all patients including people with disabilities.
Assistive devices
We will ensure that our staff is trained and familiar with various assistive devices that may be used by patients with disabilities while accessing our services.
Communication
We will communicate with patients with disabilities in ways that take into account their disability.
Service animals
We welcome patients with disabilities and their service animals. Service animals are allowed on our premises.
Support persons
A patient with a disability who is accompanied by a support person will be allowed to have that person accompany them on our premises.
Fees will not be charged for support persons for admission to our premises.
Notice of temporary disruption
In the event of a planned or unexpected disruption to our facilities for patients with disabilities, UNITE HERE Wellness & Dental Centre will notify patients promptly. This clearly posted notice will include information about the reason for the disruption, its anticipated length of time, and a description of alternative facilities or services.
Feedback process
Patients, who wish to provide feedback, on the way we provide dental services to patients with disabilities, can talk to any of our auxiliary staff, dental providers, Office Coordinators, our Operations Manager or Dental Director. Please write to us, call us, e-mail us or complete a survey form.
All feedback will be appropriately directed and patients can expect to hear from us in a few days.
Modifications to this or other policies
Any policy of UNITE HERE Wellness & Dental Centre that does not respect and promote the dignity and independence of patients with disabilities will be modified or removed.
